Looking for a fun way to use your lettuce and other optional veggies, this is the recipe! This makes quite a large amount and is perfect for leftovers the next day.
Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Cook Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 head of butterhead lettuce, leaves pulled off
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar (can substitute apple cider vinegar)
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 dash chili pepper sauce (optional)
1 bunch turnips (the recipe calls for 8 ounces of water chestnuts, but I substituted turnips and it was great)
2 teaspoons sesame oil
Green onions (optional)
Directions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add your cooking oil and beef, cooking until brown (5-7 minutes)
Drain and discard grease, moving beef to a bowl or strainer
Add onions, red bell pepper, and turnips to the same skillet and cook until slightly tender (5-10 minutes)
Stir in hoisin sauce, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and chili pepper into skillet
Add in sesame oil and cooked beef and stir for a couple more minutes
Pile your meat onto a lettuce leaf, top with green onions, make a wrap and enjoy!
